Together with John McEnroe, he is the only men to in the Open Era to be the world no. 1 in singles and doubles simultaneously.

After retiring from competitive play, Stefan Edberg has worked as a coach and commentator for Tennis Channel.

He’s also credited as Roger Federer’s coach from January 2014 to December 2015 – which is an honor for any coach, but also any tennis player.
