Jenson Brooksby: What Racket Does He Use?

Jenson Brooksby is a rising tennis star who has recently caught the attention of many fans who wonder what racket he uses.

At a very young age, he has already achieved some impressive feats on the court.

So what racket does this young prodigy use?

In this article, we will take a closer look at Brooksby’s equipment and find out what makes him so successful. Stay tuned!

Who is Jenson Brooksby?

Jason Tyler Brooksby, also known by his nickname J.T., is an American professional tennis player who was born on October 26, 2000, in Carmichael, California.

He turned pro in 2021 but already reached the top 40 of the ATP tour-

Right now, while speaking, he is ranking as world No. 35 in singles by the ATP.

But he just started – I’m sure he will reach even higher in the next couple of years.

He’s still very young and so he has a lot of potential.

What racket does Jenson Brooksby use?

As a tennis player and someone obsessed with tennis rackets, When I first watched Jenson playing (When he won against Roberto Bautista Agut at the 2022 Miami Open) I noticed that his racket was not a typical tennis racket-

From far, it looks like the popular Wilson Blade, but his strings are different and he doesn’t have a brand’s logo on the racket.

So after I did a little research on the internet, I found out that he is using an old Wilson model named Wilson H22 Pro Stock.

And by the look of it, you can see the racket painted to look more like the Wilson Blade 98.

Which other pro players use this racket?

To my surprise, Jenson is not the only pro player who is using this old racket-

Another new and young ATP player is using the same racket: Tommy Paul.

Tommy is also an American player who, like Jenson, is a new player that reached a high ATP ranking quickly.

He is currently ranked world No. 33 in singles by the ATP.

So it seems that this Wilson racket is quite popular among new and upcoming players on the tour – although is an old racket.

Why do they use this racket?

There are a few reasons why these young players might be using this particular racket.

First of all, the Wilson H22 is quite a powerful racket and it has a large sweet spot.

This means that it is easier to hit winners with this racket – which is very important for any tennis player.

Another reason might be that this racket is quite cheap compared to other high-end rackets on the market.

So for young players who are just starting on the tour, this racket is a great option.

Lastly, it seems that they still don’t have a sponsor for rackets yet – so that’s why they probably took old rackets and designed them differently.

Maybe, by using old Wilson rackets, they are trying to say to Wilson “Hey, we are good and we are using your rackets – why don’t you sponsor us?”

Who knows, maybe it will work. After all, Wilson rackets are the most popular tennis rackets on tour right now.

But I have a feeling that Wilson or another big brand will soon sponsor them and they will be using different rackets.

We will have to wait and see!

What strings does Jenson use?

Jenson Brooksby uses the Solinco Outlast 16L/1.25 String. these strings are part of the Heaven Strings series.

It seems that he is sponsored by Solinco because his picture is shown on their website’s page of these strings.

What overgrip does Jenson use?

Jenson Brooksby uses the Solinco Heaven Overgrip.

What are Jenson’s tennis racket specifications?

The head size of the racket is 98 square inches, the length is 27 inches, and the weight (strung) is 342 grams.

The balance of the racket (strung) is 316 mm, the stiffness is 60 and the string pattern of the racket is 18 x 20.

Can I buy Jenson’s tennis racket?

Unfortunately, you cannot buy Jenson’s racket because it’s considered an old racket.

You can only find the racket on websites like eBay from someone who used this racket and now selling it.

But don’t worry, there are many other great options on the market right now.

But the good news is that you can buy the Wilson Blade 98 which is the newer version of Jenson’s racket at this link.

And if you want to find the best Wilson racket for you, this guide is for you.

In conclusion

Jenson Brooksby is currently using the Wilson H22 Pro Stock racket which is an old model.

Jenson is sponsored by Solinco and uses their equipment like the Outlast 16L/12.25 strings and the Heaven Overgrip.

You cannot buy Jenson’s racket easily because it is old but you can find it on eBay.

If you want to buy a Wilson racket, the best option is the Wilson Blade 98.

About Me

Hi! I’m Matt Olsen, and I’ve been playing tennis for over 10 years. Tennis is my life!

My favorite part about being a professional tennis player? Playing the game. My least favorite part of this job? Sitting on the bench after having to retire from a match because of an injury (it’s still fun watching the teammates play, though!).

One secret that helps me keep up with all my training? Choosing the best tennis racket that suits me. In fact, it’s one of the reasons why I started this site Tennis on Flame, where I help people find their perfect racket!
