So now that you know a bit about Verdasco, let’s take a look at what racket he uses to achieve his impressive results.

What Racket does Fernando Verdasco Use?

Many pro players change tennis rackets like a normal person changes clothes, so it’s not too surprising that Fernando Verdasco has had a few different rackets in his career.

But honestly, I never saw such dramatic changes in a player’s equipment as I have with Verdasco:

For most of his career, he was famous for being a Tecnifibre racket user.

He also used a Yonex racket for a very short time around 2010 and a Dunlop racket from 2011 to 2013-

And even the Babolat Pure Aero tennis racket in 2014.

If you thought that was confusing, just wait until you hear what he’s using currently.

Verdasco is using the Head Graphene Touch Speed Pro – yeah yeah, the same racket that world No. 1 Novak Djokovic uses.

Why the Change?

Some people say that Verdasco changed rackets because he was struggling to win matches and needed to find something that would help him improve his game.

Others say that he changed because he wanted to be more like Djokovic and use the same racket as the world No. 1 is using.

Or maybe the reason is much more simple and his contract with Tecnifibre just ran out-

But it is still strange that he used so many rackets from different brands in a very short period.

Whatever the reason, Verdasco is using the Head Graphene Touch Speed Pro at the moment and it will be interesting to see how he does with this racket in the future.

Only time will tell!

That depends on your playing level and what you’re looking for in a tennis racket.

About Me

Hi! I’m Matt Olsen, and I’ve been playing tennis for over 10 years. Tennis is my life!

My favorite part about being a professional tennis player? Playing the game. My least favorite part of this job? Sitting on the bench after having to retire from a match because of an injury (it’s still fun watching the teammates play, though!).

One secret that helps me keep up with all my training? Choosing the best tennis racket that suits me. In fact, it’s one of the reasons why I started this site Tennis on Flame, where I help people find their perfect racket!
