Now that we know a little bit more about Djokovic, let’s take a closer look at his racket – Because I believe you already know a lot about him, but you are here to learn more about his racket of choice. Am I wrong? 😉

So What Racket Does Novak Djokovic Use?

Like many other pro players, Novak changed many tennis rackets during his career.

But today, Djokovic is currently sponsored by the American-Austrian company, HEAD.

A quick look at the official website of Head will tell you he is using the Head Speed Pro 2022

But if you are a fan of Novak and following his matches very closely, you will notice his racket looks a little different than the Head Speed Pro 2022.

So the truth is, that Novak is using a different racket by Head called PT113B.

The racket is painted to look like the Speed Pro 2022, but it’s a different racket in the end.

Why does Novak Djokovic use this racket?

The answer is very simple: because he can.

Djokovic has been using this racket for many years and it suits his playing style perfectly.

The PT113B is a lighter racket than the Speed Pro 2022, which makes it easier for Djokovic to swing and generate more power on his shots, especially after he suffered from elbow and shoulder issues.

The racket also offers a great feel and provides Djokovic with the necessary control to play his aggressive brand of tennis.

What strings does Novak use?

Djokovic has used two different types of strings in his racket throughout his career:

Babolat VS Team Natural Gut and Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough.

Does Novak use a dampener?

Yes, and how originally that the dampener he use was called just simply “Head Djokovic Dampener“.

What string pattern does Djokovic use?

Djokovic’s racket string pattern is 18 x 19.

What are Djokovic’s tennis racket specifications?

let’s see what are the specifications of his real racket and the racket he promoting:

The PT113B:

The strung weight of the racket is 359 grams, the strung balance is 32 cm, the head size is 95 square inches, the swing weight is 370 and the racket’s flexibility is 60RA strung.

The Head Speed Pro 2022:

The head size is 100 in, the length is 27 in, the strung weight is 11.5oz, the balance is 12.79 in, the swing weight is 326 and the stiffness is 62.

Can I buy Djokovic’s tennis racket?

The real racket Novak uses, PT113B, considering rare and it’s not for sale.

Maybe you will be lucky to find it on online auctions like eBay or other places that sell old rackets.

The other racket he is officially promoting, the Head Speed Pro is the opposite:

It’s very easy to find and buy it here.

Is it a good racket for me?

The PT113B is not a very comfortable racket for many players – it’s not hard to understand why: it’s not been for sale for many years and Novak is probably one of the few players who plays with it.

For no reason, his racket was painted to look like a different racket” The Head Speed Pro, which is a more friendly racket, and that’s why you will see Novak promoting this one instead of his original racket.

The Head Speed Pro is a great racket for players with experience that want to get a great feel, power, and control.

In conclusion

Novak Djokovic is one of the best tennis players in the world, and he uses a Head racket.

If you are looking for a powerful, yet comfortable racket – The Head Speed Pro 2022 is your best choice.

But if you want to get your hands on Djokovic’s original racket, good luck – it’s not an easy task. And honestly? in my personal opinion, the Speed Pro 2022 is better than his original racket, no wonder he recommends using it over his original one, which is not for sale anymore.

About Me

Hi! I’m Matt Olsen, and I’ve been playing tennis for over 10 years. Tennis is my life!

My favorite part about being a professional tennis player? Playing the game. My least favorite part of this job? Sitting on the bench after having to retire from a match because of an injury (it’s still fun watching the teammates play, though!).

One secret that helps me keep up with all my training? Choosing the best tennis racket that suits me. In fact, it’s one of the reasons why I started this site Tennis on Flame, where I help people find their perfect racket!
