Who is Andrey Rublev?

Andrey Rublev is a Russian tennis player who was born on October 20th, 1997.

His highest ranking is the world’s No. 5 player by the ATP, and he has won ten ATP singles titles.

His highest ranking in doubles is no. 59.

And if it’s not enough – he is also a 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games gold medalist.

Rublev is notable for his powerful groundstrokes from both the baseline and the serve.

Playing from a very early age, Andrey became a pro in 2014 and at the age of 16 years and 11 months, he was the youngest player in the top 100.

It’s been a pleasure for me to follow his career and I do not doubt that his best is yet to come.

After he wrote “No War Please” on a TV camera during the Dubai Championships, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he showed the whole world that he was not simply a wonderful tennis player but also a decent person.

What racket does Andrey Rublev use?

After being known as a Wilson tennis racket guy, by using the Wilson Six-One 95 for years, in 2021 he decided to switch to a new racket from a different brand:

The Head Gravity Pro tennis racket!

Rublev is not the only pro tennis player to use one of the Gravity rackets by Head – other well-known players who use Head Gravity are Alexander Zverev and Ash Barty.

The racket is famous for its massive sweet spot, which is a result of the teardrop-shaped head.

The 18/20 string pattern provides great control for tournament players, and the Graphene 360+ technology ensures a clean impact feel and enhanced flex.

The design of the racket is also very unique, with a yellow-green fade on one side of the tennis racket and a blue-violet fade on the other.

This racket is perfect for players who want an aggressive and dynamic playing style.

Why did Andrey Rublev switch to the Head Gravity Pro racket?

There are a few reasons why Andrey Rublev might have decided to switch to the Head Gravity Pro racket.

One possibility is that he was looking for a racket with a bigger sweet spot, as the Wilson Six-One 95 has a smaller sweet spot.

The Head Gravity Pro also has a more unique design, which Rublev may have been drawn to.

It’s also possible that he was simply looking for a change after using the Wilson Six-One 95 for so many years-

And really, you can’t blame him. I like to change my tennis rackets very often as well.

But well, I’m not a good example, because as you can see on my website, I’m obsessed with tennis rackets and have way too many of them.

Anyway, He had very long contact with Wilson until the end of 2020, so I guess the real reason was that Head, which is a very strong player in the tennis rackets market, made him a very good offer that he couldn’t refuse.

Whatever the reason, it’s clear that the Head Gravity Pro is a great racket, and I’m sure Andrey Rublev will continue to have success with it.

Which strings does Andrey Rublev use?

Rublev is using the Head Lynx Tour strings for his new Head tennis racket.

The Lynx Tour strings are designed for tournament players, with an 18/20 string pattern that provides great control.

They’re made of high-quality materials and have a nice feel when you hit the ball.

If you’re looking for strings that will help you play your best tennis, then the Head Lynx Tour strings are a great option.

Rublev’s racket specification

The Head Gravity Pro’s length is 27 inches, which is a standard length for a tennis racket.

The string pattern is 18×20, which is also a standard string pattern for a tournament player.

The swing weight is 330, which is a little bit heavier than the average tennis racket.

Andrey Rublev’s Head Gravity Pro Tennis Racket has a head size of 100 sq. in.,

This means that it will be more difficult to move around and control, so it’s best suited for advanced players who have a strong forehand and backhand.
