In this blog post, we will take a look at the Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez and find out what racket he uses.
Lopez is a left-handed player who has had some success on the tour over the years.
So no wonder everyone wants to know which racket helped him to get there.
Besides his racket, I will tell you a bit about his career as well.
Are you ready? let’s dig in!

Some of Feliciano’s career highlights are:

-His highest ranking in doubles is world No. 9.
-His prize money is more than $18 million which makes him the 30th all-time highest-paid tennis player.

-With his entry into the 2021 Indian Wells, he broke the Masters 1000 category record with his 139th appearance in such events.
And believe me, there is more – it’s just the tip of the iceberg!
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what racket Feliciano Lopez uses.
What Racket Does Feliciano Lopez Use?
Feliciano Lopez is known for being a Wilson user for many years.
He is sponsored by them and is considered one of their famous players who use their racket.
But the question of what racket he uses is a little bit tricky-
That’s because he is using a very old racket by Wilson: an extended version of the Wilson nCode Pro Open.
Meanwhile, the Wilson racket he is “representing” is the Wilson Ultra 100 tennis racket.
Many people and fans think this is his actual tennis racket, but no, his old racket is designed to look like the Wilson Ultra 100, but it’s not the real Wilson Ultra 100: he is using the Wilson nCode Pro Open.
Which other players use this racket?
Because this is considering an old tennis racket, nobody, on a tour or unprofessional players, using this racket.
The Bryan brothers (the famous twins Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan) who are a very famous and most successful doubles duo of all time, used this racket –
But again, they are former tennis players who retired in 2020, and it was not their only rackets, because they used to change rackets a lot – one of them was the Prince Ignite 95.
But if you are asking who is playing with the Wilson Ultra 100, the answer is different because many professional players are using it –
Examples, are Kei Nishikori, Borna Coric, Victoria Azarenka, Kristina Mladenovic, and more.
Why does Lopez use this racket?
Lopez’s racket is one of the oldest rackets on the market, so why does he still use it?
The answer may be in his playing style.
Lopez is a very talented player with great hand skills.
He has a lot of talent for generating power without using a lot of effort.
His racket just amplifies his natural talent.
But there is another reason he might be using this racket –
Lopez is sponsored by Wilson, and he has been for many years.
So it’s likely that he feels a sense of loyalty to the brand.
Or maybe he’s just comfortable with it and doesn’t want to change?
In my opinion, because he’s sponsored by Wilson, he has to use a Wilson racket, of course. but he sure tested many of their tennis rackets, and decided to stay with the old one he is used to – the Wilson nCode Pro Open.
I’m sure Wilson wanted him to use and play one of their much more modern rackets – after all, they want to sell, and a major play who uses an old racket that is not selling anymore is a waste of money.
So what did they do? they “designed” the racket to look like the new modern Wilson Ultra 100, and hoped nobody will notice.
But you know, I’m a tennis racket geek, and I know to notice between a real Wilson Ultra 100 to a look-alike racket.
Do you think he’ll stick with this racket forever?
It’s hard to say.
Racquets, like all technology, are always improving.
So Lopez may eventually upgrade to a newer model Wilson racket.
But for now, he seems content with his trusty old Wilson nCode Pro Open.
What strings does Lopez use?
In the mains, Lopez employs Luxilon Alu Power and in the crosses, he uses Luxilon Big Banger Ace.
What overgrip does Lopez use?
Lopez uses Wilson Pro Overgrip.
Does Lopez use a dampener?
Lopez uses the “Pete Sampras Tourna Vibration Dampener White” dampener.
How often does Lopez restring his racket?
Lopez restrings his racket every few weeks.

Can I buy Lopez’s tennis racket?
The Wilson nCode Pro Open is no longer in production, but you may be able to find it on eBay or other second-hand websites.
But I don’t recommend you buy it because it is considered a very old racket.
The Wilson Ultra 100 is still in production and can be purchased from Wilson’s website or tennis retailers such as Tennis Warehouse.
So if you want a similar racket to Lopez, The Ultra 100 can be a good option.
You can buy the Ultra 100 here.
Is it a good racket for me?
The Wilson Ultra 100 is a great racket for intermediate and advanced players.
The racket offers simple access to pace and spin and it’s one of its comfort rackets by Wilson.
